Introduction

Swantham Sujatha (transl. Yours Faithfully Sujatha) is a 2020 Indian Malayalam language television soap opera that premiered on Surya TV on November 16, 2020, and currently airs on YouTube and Sun Swantham Sujatha NXT.[1][2] Chandra Lakshman co-stars with Kishor Satya as the titular character. Both returned to Malayalam television after a brief hiatus.[3] This show was temporarily halted due to COVID-19 on May 21, 2021, and relaunched on July 5, 2021,

Serial timing

The serial aired at 9:00 p.m. from its inception until August 26, 2021, when it was moved to 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. The serial then aired from Monday to Sunday at 7:30 p.m. beginning on July 24. The serial then began airing Monday through Sunday at 6:00 p.m., beginning on November 28. Because of the time change, the serial lost its high viewership and trp rating.

Storyline

A contented housewife who adores her family and values her life. But her life takes a turn for the worse when she discovers her true calling as an RJ after being housebound for years.

Cast

Sujatha (Suja) a.k.a. R.J. is played by Chandra Lakshman. Prakashan’s ex-wife; Aparna and Abhi’s mother, Swantham Sujatha. A housewife who lacks education and sees her family as her entire world. She was hired as an R.J. in Red FM following her divorce (2020–present)

Sujatha’s ex-husband; Mahilamani Amma’s son; Aparna and Abhi’s father, played by Kishor Satya. He works for the Future Solar Group and divorced Sujatha due to his illegitimate relationship with Ruby. Prakshan marries Sujatha yet again (2020–present)

Anu Nair as Ruby:[6] Sujatha’s best friend and divorcee who has an illegal relationship with Prakashan, who is also her colleague at Future Solar. (2020–present)
